Clinical Dietetic Internship Program

Clinical Dietetic Internship Program
The Emory University Hospital (EUH) Dietetic Internship is a full-time, 9-month post-baccalaureate program that specializes in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT). It is designed to prepare graduates for the Registration Examination for Dietitians.

Spiritual Health Residency

Spiritual Health Residency

The residency is a full-time, intensive professional training program. It is the standard path for those seeking to become Board Certified Chaplains (BCC).

  • Duration: Typically one (1) year (three (3) units of CPE).
  • Focus: Advanced clinical practice, specialization in specific hospital units (e.g., oncology, ICU) and integration of professional identity.
  • Requirements: Usually requires at least one previous unit of CPE.

  • The program bridges the gap between formal education and clinical autonomy through a "white-glove" educational experience that combines intensive clinical rotations with a robust didactic curriculum.

Core Fellowship Tracks

  • Critical Care: One of the most established tracks, focusing on medical, surgical, neurological and trauma ICUs.
  • Cardiac Critical Care: Specializes in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support (ECMO, LVAD) and cardiology.
  • Cardiothoracic Surgery: Includes operating room experience, endoscopic vein harvesting and perioperative care.
  • Hematology & Oncology: Accredited with distinction, training fellows at the Winship Cancer Institute.
  • Orthopaedic Surgery: Covers the full spectrum of musculoskeletal care, from sports medicine to orthopedic oncology.
  • Neurology: Movement Disorders & Parkinson’s: Focuses on the comprehensive diagnosis and management of neurodegenerative conditions. Fellows gain expertise in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) programming, botulinum toxin injections and the long-term care of patients with Parkinson’s, Huntington’s and dysmedicine, urogynecology and reproductive endocrinology.tonia.
  • Urology: Provides experience in robotic surgery, urological oncology and outpatient clinical care.
  • Women's Services: APPFA-accredited (with distinction) program designed for NPs and PAs to specialize in comprehensive Women's Health. Includes training in general OB/GYN, labor & delivery triage, maternal-fetal, urogynecology and reproductive endocrinology.

  • Duration: Two (2) years.
  • Focus: Advanced specialization, research and leadership (e.g., palliative care, pediatrics or spiritual health clinician scientist roles).
  • Compensation: A **higher professional salary compared to a residency stipend.
