This 11-month program is designed specifically for individuals who already hold a four-year degree, preferably in a science-related field, and want to pursue certification as a medical laboratory scientist.
Key Features of the Program:
o Urinalysis
o Coagulation
o Clinical chemistry
o Immunohematology (blood bank)
o Molecular diagnostics
o Flow cytometry
o Histocompatibility (HLA)
o Lectures: Students attend lectures from Monday to Friday during the initial months, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
o Clinical Rotations: Following the lecture period, students will complete clinical rotations, which generally run from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
o Holidays and Breaks: Students can expect time off for holidays and semester breaks, ensuring a balanced work-study schedule.
By the end of this program, students will not only gain a certificate in medical laboratory science from EHC MLS but also acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to advance in one of the fastest-growing sectors in health care. This could be a fulfilling career path for those interested in the science behind disease diagnosis and treatment.
