Armed Guard Minimum Requirements:
  • Three (3) consecutive years of armed security, military, or law enforcement experience within the last 7 years.
  • Must possess a POST (law enforcement) certification or be registered through a government, state or local licensing firearms accreditation board within the past (7) years.
  • Must successfully complete the Basic Security Officer and Firearms course mandated by the Secretary of State within 3 months post-hire.
  • Must be able to successfully complete training to carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser (CED) and/or a baton within 3 months post-hire.
  • Must possess a valid Georgia Driver's license and have a clean driving record with no recent history of major traffic violations.
  • Must be able to operate a company vehicle when required - Must pass a psychological exam.
  • Must obtain IAHSS Basic certification within 12 months. Obtain a BLS Certification within 12 months. Complete FEMA IS 100, 200, 700 & 800 within six (6) months.
